Do I Need Planning Permission for my Holiday Park Decking?

Short answer? Usually not. But here's the full story...

Holiday Park Rules Come First

Most parks have their own guidelines around:

  • Maximum deck size
  • Height restrictions
  • Approved materials

We deal with Parks, Park Owners and Park Managers every day, so if it’s a Park we haven’t worked with before, we’ll contact them directly to check permissions and terms so you don’t need to worry about it.

When Might You Need Formal Permission?

  • You own the land (e.g. private lodge plots)
  • Your domestic Decking is raised more than 30cm
  • You’re in a conservation zone like the Lake District

Not sure? Just ask — we’re always happy to help and we know most parks in our coverage area (a 2.5-hour radius from Penrith).
